Interiors

Caroline  began her working life in the Furniture Department at Christies. After this, she worked in the Fine Art gallery Hazlitt, Gooden and Fox in Bury Street, around the corner, wishing to experience the difference between an auction house and picture dealing.

 

Caroline became assistant to Chester Jones, Senior Partner at Colefax & Fowler for 7 years before moving with him when he formed his own studio.  She founded Caroline Paterson Interiors in 1987 which she successfully ran until handing over the business in 2020. She maintains her love of sourcing antiques and combining these with interior design schemes, frequently buying from fairs and galleries on behalf of her clients. Caroline is now a freelance interior decorator and artist.
